A LOOK INSIDE

THE PROCESS

Here's an overview of how the process of designing an album works.

1. image selection

I will send you a request for 80 images via Pic-Time (your wedding gallery host), once you've made your selection I will be notified.

Now that I have your selects we can start designing. You will need to decided which format you would like, A4 portrait or 10x10 inch.
If you're unsure I will happily advise on which format I think will suit your gallery best.

2. decide on an album format

3. i start designing

Now that I have your image selection and preferred album format I can start working on the design of your album. I always design albums to run chronologically.

4. Version one

Once Version One is complete I will send you a digital proof to check over, this is your chance to make notes for changes which I will work on.

5. In the meantime....

To streamline the process and to ensure the shortest turn around time you will need to decide in which fabric you would like your album bound, we can also discuss any bespoke cover personalisations.

6. Version two

Once the I've made the required changes I will send back a digital proof for you to check over, we go back and forth in this way until you're 100% happy with the final design and layout.

Now that you're happy with the layout, binding and personalisation I can send your album off to print!
You will receive an invoice and will be required to pay any outstanding balance.
Once the album has been sent to print changes are no longer possible.

Frequently asked questions

how long will the process take?

The initial design process will depend on how quickly I receive your image selections and how many rounds of changes we work on.
Print production usually takes around 4-6 weeks.

can we get a refund if we're not happy?

All albums are bespoke, one of a kind pieces made solely for you.
We work on the album until you give final sign-off that you're totally happy, at which point the design is sent to print.
As such no refunds are available on albums.

how much is postage?

Postage is complimentary, and whenever possible, your album will be shipped directly from the UK-based lab where it is handmade. This approach not only minimizes environmental impact but also reduces your wait time.

cover design

Silver/gold Foil Debossing

Heat is used to transfer metallic foil to the album cover for an eye-catching enhancement.
Available on all fabrics.

engraving

Using a laser your text is engraved in to the cover material. The process works by removing the top layer of the material to reveal the natural hues underneath. Available on all Silks and some Fabrics.

black/white cover printing

The latest digital technique in personalisation involves printing directly onto a material in either black or white ink. Available on most materials.

blind Debossing

Using traditional methods, letters are pressed into the cover without ink or foil for an elegant, classic presentation
that’s wonderful to the touch.
Available on all Silks.

fonts

If you would like a bespoke motif I recommend Black or White cover printing, this is a digital technique and allows the greatest amount of personalisation.

Once you have selected your cover material and personalisation technique I will confirm that is it possible, some restriction apply with certain colour/font combinations.
