Matt and Justine – Villa Il Pozzo Summer Wedding
I’m so happy to share this Villa Il Pozzo wedding from late this summer. An intimate Tuscan wedding filled with bespoke details and personal touches.
Planned by Wiskow and White and held at Villa Il Pozzo in Tuscany, and featured on the wedding blog Love My Dress.
Being a destination wedding photographer in Italy is a dream job, seriously.
I love to shooting weddings in regions such as Tuscany, and where to even begin with this stunning summer Italian wedding?
I am so in love with every detail of this intimate, tuscan wedding, it combined old and new so effortlessly.
Justine’s wore a 1950s wedding dress and Matt opted for a dark blue three piece suit to complement her perfectly.
Picture Perfect Vows…
A reason to have a destination wedding in Tuscany- look at that view!
The couple shared vows overlooking the incredible Tuscan landscape surrounded by delicate lilac and white florals. It honestly looked like a postcard!! I mean, look at that view!
Late summer can be a gamble in Italy but you will usually get a temperature perfect day!
In a break from tradition Matt and Justine drove down their confetti line in a vintage Fiat 500!!
After which I whisked them off for some quick, informal couple portraits using the gorgeous Villa as a backdrop.
Golden Hour Photography
With summer in Italy you will almost always get an incredible golden hour, we (myself, Matt and Justine and the incredible Paul Van on video) jumped in the car and headed round the corner to catch the best view of that amazing sun! My passion for shooting at golden hour knows no bounds, I’ve whisked couples away mid meal before and I assure you its ALWAYS been worth it.
There is magic in that light, believe me.
A romantic late summer Tuscan wedding doesn’t have to look or feel cliche, its all about those personal touches.
I loved the quirky finishes and how much Matt and Justine thre themselves into having fun.
We headed back to the Villa for food, wine and tear jerking speeches, toasts (did I mention Lemoncello?) and amazing food.
OH! and Justine slipped away for a cheeky outfit change to start the evenings dancing!! Just wow!
Choosing your wedding photographer in Italy
People often ask me why couples don’t book a local wedding photographer in Italy and the answer is simple- trust!
It’s so important you book a wedding photographer who is on your wave length and sees your day they way you want it to be seen.
Its so easy to fall into the classic romantic Italian aesthetic but for most of the couples I work with that aesthetic just doesn’t fit! You get one shot (pun intended) at this so you have to trust the person behind the camera!
